Richard Becker’s debut solo album “Cedar Forks” is a coming-of-age record years in the making. After 12 years writing and touring with his indie-rock band Walden, the Denver-based singer-songwriter is finally stepping into the world he’s quietly been building since he first picked up a guitar at the age of 13.

Crafted intimately from the ground up, “Cedar Forks” is rooted in the neighborhood he grew up in—and named after it. The album reflects on the moments that shaped him: from heartbreak to grief, faith to family, and the quiet internal shifts that happen as we grow up. It’s an album that wrestles with memory, loss, and the lifelong process of becoming.

Each track is a snapshot of a formative experience, stitched together by nostalgia and emotional honesty. Through it all, Richard’s message is clear: our stories, even the painful ones, are worth honoring. “Cedar Forks” is a snapshot of a life in motion, and this release show is a celebration of that journey.
